Prelude
I have never blogged before, I always found that it looked rather futile in a sea of millions of enthusiastic people all willing to share their thoughts to a collective, rarely willing to hear someone else's. I don't pretend to be much different, I'm sure if you met me (or have met me) you could describe me with the word stubborn.
Yet as I slowly but surely grow older I realise my peers now have some very interesting things to say. Finally at an age where everyone disperses in individual paths to suit their own fancies can i comfortably say that I now have an idea of what on earth I could write a blog about. It happens to be that I'm a zoologist and zoology is my passion, after all, I certainly didn't do it for the prospect of a large salary.
So as a zoologist I feel it beneficial to me (and hopefully others) to write about the wonderful and diverse sphere of science that is zoology: the study of Animalia.

Where to begin?
Darwin is a name everyone has heard of. He's famous for his work concerning evolution and the theory of natural selection. This theory which has now been tested beyond belief by the scientific community has earned its reputation and popularity as one of the greatest truths ever conceived by a human being. Its elegance astounds me and others alike and if that wasn't enough its simplicity allows it to be open to general comprehension by anyone with the inclination to learn.
And so spontaneously I have decided to do this blog in taxonomic/chronological order starting with the charmingly simple phylum, Porifera.
Stay tuned.
